On Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, as part of the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027 qualifiers, our Grenadières faced Suriname (the host country) in their second group match at the Dr. Ir. Summary : After a goalless first half, Haiti finally opened the scoring in the second half. Roseline Éloissaint scored in the 68th minute with a left-footed shot from the left side of the penalty area, finding the top left corner. Haiti doubled their lead in the 89th minute when Melchie Dumornay, nicknamed "Corventina" converted a penalty after Naomi Piqué fouled her in the box. Haiti won the match 2-0 without much effort from the Grenadières against a Suriname side that tried in vain to create chances and put on a good show for their home crowd, lacking both ideas and, at times, talent.
